Vintage Flower Toiletry Bag
My latest project is another toiletry bag, this one is a gift for my mother-in-law - I just need to find some nice soaps and hand cream to go in it! The pattern is "Unisex" by Kari Renolen and was in the 04/2015 issue of the Norwegian "MyQuilt" magazine. It has a lined zipper pocket on the front and 2 pockets inside. I've used a selection of fabrics from the Antique Flower collection by Lecien, teamed with some vintage lace. The bag is initially pieced together, quilted and embellished then cut to the correct shape ready for construction. As I didn't have a large enough piece of suitable wadding, I pieced together smaller pieces to get the shape I needed, using offcuts of Bosal In-R-Form for the base, and Pellon H640 forthe sides.
