This parcel was waiting for me when I arrived home from my holibobs. Under the Mulberry Tree in Australia had sent me block US029 and US30 of United Stitches by Rosalie Dekker Designs. And yesterday I quickly got it prepped ready for stitching. Weave line (a soft fusible inteRfacing) is my favourite, and it was fused to the back of the handkerchief linen ready for stitching with Cosmo embroidery threads. This morning the blocks have been pressed and trimmed to size. The plastic 4.5" template was part of the starter kit, and it's been really useful for this project. Next step is to machine these two stitchery blocks to the pieced blocks that make up the final row of this quilt...
...the first job on today's "to-do" list was to piece these stitchery blocks together. Can't wait for the final 2 stitchery blocks to arrive in May. These only took a few minutes to piece together, so now I've got my Bernina set up I can get on with the rest of my long list of sewing jobs that I need to catch up with!
Hi - welcome to my quilting blog! My passions are my family, my dog, my friends and sewing, not necessarily in that order!
