I'd recently shared some pictures of "Under Cover" - this a sewing machine cover pattern by ByAnnie which was purchased from Sew Hot. I really enjoyed making it and although it was a great pattern, with excellent instructions and a super video tutorial too, the completed cover was jusrt a wee bit too big for me to be 100% happy with it. So what did I do? That's right - I totally deconstructed the original cover - I very carefully unpicked ALL of the bias binding, carefully unpicked the seams where the front and back are joined to the side panel, then chopped a couple of inches off the width of the front piece, the back piece and each of the flaps and finally stitched it all back together again!...
...I am so much happier with it now as it fits so much better! It looks very smart and my Bernina 570QE is extremely happy with her new coat, especially as it has been custom made to fit!
