I'm trying to finish up my outstanding projects before I start anything new, so here's my first finish of 2019. I'm taking part in an online challenge to finish 5 projects that are sitting patiently waiting in my "waiting to be completed" pile before the 1st May, so this has encouraged me to get this finished! Pattern is by the Australian designer Natalie Bird of The Birdhouse Patchwork Designs - this was bought as a kit from Cross Patch in Wales here in the UK and was started in Jan 2018, completed in Jan 2019. This was hand embroidered with Presencia Finca Perle 16 thread. Machine pieced with Aurifil 50wt thread, machine quilted very simply using a selection of King Tut variegated thread. Fabrics included in the kit are from the Rouenneries collection by French General for Moda. I took a final picture of the completed quilt "Tis The Season" this morning before I pack it away with my other festive quilts.
