Tis The Season is finally quilted and the binding is on! This was purchased as a kit from Cross Patch in Wales back in 2017. This kit uses gorgeous fabrics from the Rouenneries collection by French General for Moda. The kit also included a spool of Perle thread for the hand embroidery. I've machine quilted this very simply using a selection of King Tut quilting threads shades 973, 946 and 972. A narrow single fold binding has been machined to the front of the quilt, and hand stitched in place to the back... ...this gorgeous fabric is from the "Rue Indienne" collection by French General for Moda, bought last year from Kis Quilting Ltd in Ipswich. It was perfect for the backing of my "Tis the Season" quilt. I love how the different collections from French General all work well together. I used a King Tut quilting thread shade 973 in the bobbin to blend with the fabric. The quilting was kept very simple, so it didn't distract from the beautiful fabrics. Now I just need to design and stitch a label for the back and I'll have my first finish for 2019.
