The quilt label for "Tis The Season" is completed too! These are really simple to make, and quilt labels really finish off a project beautifully. I always try to incorporate part of the design of the original quilt, and for this label one of the stitchery designs from the front of the quilt took my fancy! Then I added my name and the year. To make this label, I sketched out the idea on paper with a pencil first, then used a very fine Sharpie pen to draw over the pencil lines. Using a light box, the design is then traced onto fabric using a Micron Pigma pen with a very fine nib, and finally I've covered the traced lines with hand embroidery. I used the same Presencia Finca Perle 16 thread that was used for the hand embroidery on the front of the quilt. Following a good press, the label is hand appliqued to the back of the quilt.
