More progress has been made with my Hearts and Happy Flowers quilt - and another teeny tiny heart has been stitched on a 1" background square. This satin stitch heart has been hand embroidered using Lecien Cosmo embroidery thread and a Hiroshima Tulip embroidery needle. I love how a few of these hearts are scattered over the blocks as well as the inner border hearts... ...these Lecien Cosmo embroidery threads are really gorgeous to stitch with, as they have a lovely sheen to them. There are UK stockists for Lecien Cosmo threads, but I bought a thread pack specifically for this project online from Gum Valley Patchwork, in Australia... ...Leanne Beasley's designs are always beautiful, and are filled with lots of pretty details. I'm not sure which I love the most - these teeny tiny hearts or the teeny tiny bunting flags! Now the hand embroidery is finished for block 8, I just need to add a couple of EPP six-pointed stars and a few appliqued hearts.
