"One Stitch at a Time" is coming along nicely. Some of the applique has been stitched in place, and the surface embroidery has been added using Valdani stranded embroidery threads. These have a very soft, gradual variegation and are lovely to stitch with. This pattern is by Lynette Anderson Designs and uses very simple embroidery stitches - satin stitch, running stitch, back stitch, cross stitch, French knots (although I prefer colonial knots) and fly stitch. Combined with hand applique, it is a super hand sewing project.
