I'm finally catching up with "Seaside Town" the mystery button club by Lynette Anderson Designs. Month 5 "The Kite Fliers" actually arrived in the post from Cross Patch in Wales several weeks ago, but when it arrived I'd lost my sewing mojo (I'd been very unwell and was waiting for surgery at the time) and it was put in a box along with month 4. Well this week I've been stitching like a demon!! I'd already made several Snail Trail blocks when I stitched month 4 (these are just 4" finished size and are to represent the ocean and the waves). The applique has been stitched using the applique paper and glue stick method along with Apliquick tools, and I used some of Mr F's garden twine for the "rope" on the harbour wall! Hugo is embellished with a couple of hand painted wooden buttons - a smart collar and a heart tag - these will be stitched in place once the quilt is completed.
Hi - welcome to my quilting blog! My passions are my family, my dog, my friends and sewing, not necessarily in that order!
