I was supposed to be sorting through my box of batik fabrics reading for a quilting trip that I'm going on in a few days time, and I was rather distracted! A few scraps of purple batiks were pieced together, and quilted with a lilac Aurifil 40wt thread in a simple geometric design. As my previous quilted journal folder was just a tiny bit too small for this display book, I used a Pukka A4 project book for it instead - and still needed another cover for this book. I made sure that this one wasn't quite such a snug fit! These Display Books are really useful, as they contain poly pockets, and are available in an assortment of colours. This one was from my local supermarket, and it is perfect for putting my notes in from my previous quilting trips. I'd previously made journal covers for my 2 friends Helen and Linda, who I'll be travelling to Yorkshire with.
Hi - welcome to my quilting blog! My passions are my family, my dog, my friends and sewing, not necessarily in that order!
