There are 16 tiny stitchery designs for the border of Peaceful Garden. I drafted a grid onto the RS of the background fabric using a pencil and ruler, fused some lightweight interfacing on the back, and traced the stitchery designs using a fine tipped Micron Pigma pen. The hand embroidery was all completed using DMC threads...
...once all the embroidery was completed, the designs were trimmed to 2" square, ready for the inner border. This pattern is designed by Anni Downs of Hatched and Patched and was bought as a kit from my favourite place, Cross Patch, an online shop based in Wales, here in the UK. Looking forward to getting this wall hanging finished and on display on my sewing studio wall!
Hi - welcome to my quilting blog! My passions are my family, my dog, my friends and sewing, not necessarily in that order!
