Dodging inbetween the showers this morning, I was able to get some pictures of my new purse! This was made on a class with Gillian at Busybee Stitching yesterday, and was made using a combination of teal linen and batik fabric, both bought from KIS Quilting Ltd last year. All the stitching has been done using Aurifil 50wt thread, including the smart topstitching. A magnetic clasp is hidden under the flap... ...I really am thrilled with the results, as there is a place for everything in this roomy purse, with pockets galore! Gillian is a very patient tutor, and I had to rather a lot of deconstructive work to get the trim on the pocket flap just right, and made rather a lot of mess on the sewing studio floor! Hopefully the next one will be easier to make, as I plan to make several more of these!
