When I left for work this morning, at 6am, this was the view from my kitchen, even the dog wouldn't go outside as it was far too cold for her, and now it's nearly all gone... ...in keeping with the snowy theme, this is "A Redwork Christmas" - I made this last year, and it still needs to be quilted. The pattern is by Rosalie Quinlan, and I used a Jelly Roll for the borders (used the idea from my Truely Scrumptious quilt). This table runner was made very easily with a charm pack, and decorated with a Leanne Beasley stitchery pattern... ...more little stitcheries from Leanne Beasley patterns - last year I made lots of cushions for Christmas presents and added some stitchery as a finishing touch - these 2 blocks are leftovers, and will be put to good use for some presents this year..... (this gorgeous fabric with the snowflakes on was one of my favourites from a couple of years ago and found it's way into numerous Christmas gifts). And this kit is STILL waiting to be made up into a hanging Santa - another Rosalie Quinlan pattern, that I bought from The Fat Quarters as part of a monthly club last year..... oh well, if we get more snow on Wednesday, (my day off!!), I suppose I could always spend the day sewing :)
