My latest project is the "Konnichiwa Sewing Basket" - pattern and fabrics are by Lynette Anderson Designs. This has been hand appliqued using the pluestick and applique paper method, along with Apliquick tools, and has been hand embroidered with Valdani Threads. The cord was made with DMC threads in co-ordinating colours as my Valdani threads were far too precious to use up! The steamer basket was bought online from Amazon UK several weeks ago... ...the tiers are lined with bag batting covered in fabric (the bag batting was bought from my local quilt shop, KIS Quilting Ltd, in Ipswich) and a fabric covered base was also added to each tier. This will be a really useful addition to my sewing studio, and looks very pretty sitting on my desk along with my other "Lynette" accessories! This pattern is available from quilt shops that stock Lynette patterns - there is a list of world wide stockists on her website, and there is also a PDF download direct from Lynette's online quilt shop, Little Quilt Store, that you can print yourself.
