A few weeks ago I went to the Festival of Quilts at Birmingham, and bought some wonderful batiks and a couple of books from a super stall - and now they have a website - Kaleidoscope - and I've just popped over there to have a little browse - it really is just fantastic. Oh dear I think this is really going to hurt my credit card! Please don't tell Mr F!
(And for those of you who are interested, the pattern above is BeColourful by Jacqueline de Jonge and uses Hoffman batiks as the base fabrics. It is made with the technique known as paperpiecing and the finished size is 53” x 53” - unfortunately it has a difficulty rating of 6****** and is recommended for advanced quilters - a tad tricky for me but I just love those batiks!)
