A few weeks ago, I joined a quilt group at my local quilt shop, Quilters Haven. The club is held on Thursday evenings, and it's great to be able to meet other quilters and have some company when I'm sewing! Georgie, who works at Quilters Haven, had been busy making this sunflower wallhanging, and tonight she brought it along to show us..... .....it really is lovely, and the 3-D petals are very realistic. The centres are embellished with Suffolk Puffs and buttons. This looks great Georgie..... .....I love sunflowers too, and I made this wallhanging on a class at Quilters Haven about 4 years ago, and it was hung up in the hardwear store in Wickham Market during an open-air quilt show..... ...I named this wall-hanging "Stormy Sunflowers", and this pattern is from the book Stitch-and-Split-Applique by Jayme Crow and Joan Segna. The leaves are embellished with beads, and I copied the leaf motif for free-motion quilting in the borders.

I was wondering do you have the pattern for the sunflower that you are able to send me. I can use the sunflower for one of my projects. Thanks if you can send it to me and would very appreciate it.

I've never had the pattern for the sunflowers that Georgie used for her wallhanging.

Sorry, not sure how I'd know the size of the sunflowers on Georgie's wall hanging. I only saw it once and as you can see from the original post, that was in 2011!!!

Hi, I love these sunflowers. May I use your instructions for a demo in a quilt retreat of 100 participants? I think it would make a neat demo. We usually have 5-20 people at each demo

Hi Tanya - as you'll see from the information with the pictures, the Stormy Sunflower wallhanging that I made was from the book Stitch and Split Applique by Jayme Crow and Joan Segna - you'd have to contact them if you want to use their instructions. The other wallhanging was made by Georgie, obviously I don't have instructions for that one.
