Brrrrr - it's a bit chilly this morning!!

This is the view from my kitchen this morning - brrrr it's a bit chilly!! Thank goodness I haven't got to take the dog for a walk in the woods - she's gone on a shoot with Mr F today. Anyway, I thought you might like to see some of my "frosty" quilts.....

.....I made this quilt a few years ago - it was a kit from Quilters Haven, and the pattern "Geese in a Snowstorm" is in Karin Hellaby's book "Fast Flying Geese" - the geese are curved, and the quilt is embellished with snowflake buttons. The binding fabric looks really frosty. I really liked this fabric - it worked very well with the theme of this quilt..... 

.....and this wall hanging was another QH kit - and is also featured in the same book. Some of the flying geese are cuved, and are embellished with beading. I was a real beginner when I made both of these, and it's good to look back and see how my quilting has improved over the years :) and remember how these were made with my very old Frister and Rossman sewing machine just before it died!!
