While we were in Bergen, we walked around the famous fish market - it all looked so delicious! There were lobsters and crabs and muscles and oysters and red snapper and cod and huge prawns and the ugliest monkfish you ever did see. I had never seen King Crabs in real life before, and they certainly looked spectacular - just look how long those legs are.....
.....and here they are being cooked! No, sadly, I didn't get to taste them, but one of the fisherman persuaded me to try some minke whale meat - it was smoked, and looked very similar to beef, although it tasted quite fishy. Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take food back onto the ship, so I couldn't bring any whale meat home with me - I bet Mr F is secretly relieved incase I was going to serve it for Sunday lunch!!
