I've been doing some stitching in the evenings after work, and this is the result. This gorgeous pattern is the Badger Cottage Journal Cover by Lynette Anderson Designs. I've used a few fabrics from Lynette's Hollyhock Cottage collection, and quilted it very simply in a cross-hatch design with a variegated teal coloured YLI quilting thread. The centre panel has been hand embroidered using DMB stranded embroidery threads, and the appliquer was completed using the Apliquick method. The centre panel was then hand appliqued into place. And I just LOVE those tiny Suffolk Puffs! Now I just need to make the matching pencil case and this will be ready to be wrapped up as a gift for a very special person!
Hi - welcome to my quilting blog! My passions are my family, my dog, my friends and sewing, not necessarily in that order!
