I've had a very busy weekend, with both Mr F having a birthday on Saturday and our youngest daughter also having a birthday - she was 25 on Sunday - eeekkkk! Where on earth did those years go? Alice wanted to spend the day seal-watching at Blakney, North Norfolk, so we made an early start and took a 2-hour drive to Morston Quay, as we'd booked a boat trip with Beans Boats. The weather was glorious, the sea was calm, the views were stunning, and the seals were just amazing! Our boat trip included landing on Blakeney Point, and we spend an hour walking along the beach. The view out to sea was just breathtaking... ...my daughter is a very keen photographer, and she took some stunning photographs as you can see. After a delicious lunch at the Anchor pub, we headed down the coast to Horsey, hoping to see 4 or 5 seals - and we were thrilled to see an impressive colony of probably a couple of hundred seals basking in the sunshine on the beach. There were both common seals and grey seals, and several pups. We really could have spent all day watching their antics, but knew we had a 2 hour drive home again, so sadly had to leave them in the late afternoon.
