Declutter Challenge 2025 - Day 8

Day 8 is all about cutting tools - scissors, snips, and rotary cutters. I do have to admit that I have quite a large collection of Karen Kay Buckley scissors, but they are all essential! Also they're all kept together. Small embroidery scissors are kept in my hand sewing bag, and I have a special box for rotary cutters and spare cutting blades. Do I really need all these tools? Of course I don't. And do I use all these tools? Of course I don't - so time for a cull! 
My collection of KKB scissors were all going to stay, obviously, along with my favourite embroidery scissors. 
A pair of "snips" are handy for snipping threads when I'm at my sewing table, so only one pair was kept.​

An assortment of rotary cutters were sorted out into sizes, and I kept one of each size - 60mm, 45mm and a small 18mm one. I also kept a rotary cutter with a pinking blade. The rest were boxed up to go to a local craft group, along with myy spare scissors and snips. Then I sorted through the rotary cutter blades - I only buy good quality blades (my favourite brand is Olfa) and dull blades are replaced and disposed of safely as required. ​
