I was really impressed at the selection of stalls at this event today - I had some nibbles AND bought some Christmas gifts so had a great morning out. Next week it's the Woodbridge Festive Market - so you might see me there too, doing a bit of last minute shopping. ![]() When this beautiful fabric, Secret Garden, arrived from Lynette Anderson, I was nearly giddy thinking about all the lovely things I could make with it. I hadn't used much Lecien fabric before, but all that has now changed! This sews beautifully and I have really enjoyed playing with these fabrics. This is a little surprise for someone, so can't show you what it is yet - but here's a little sneak peek for you - beautiful Secret Garden fabric, teamed with some cream vintage lace - yummy! ![]() When I went to the Autumn Quilt Festival at Chilford recently, I bought some "Miracle Fabric Sheets" - it's fabric that is suitable for printing pictures onto. I couldn't wait to have a go at playing with this. Anyway, one of my colleagues, Sherry, asked me to make a small bag to use as a gift for Christmas. She emailed me a photograph of her mum taken when she was a little girl, and I had a play with the fabric - and voila!! I am really pleased with how this has turned out - it really was soooo easy - I hope Sherry is pleased with it too :) I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with this fabric - now, let me find the photo albums hehe!! ![]() I'm really lucky to have a quilt shop just a few miles from me (4.9 to be precise!) and on Thursday evening a super bunch of ladies all meet up there for an evening of sewing and chatting. I'll take my quilts that I've just had longarm quilted over there tonight to show them (no, sorry, binding isn't on just yet!) but just to keep you going, here is a picture of Helen, with her wonderful alphabet quilt that she has made for her grandaughter. |
