Well I can finally show you the pictures of my latest secret projects!! Firstly a baby quilt for one of my new colleagues, Gemma, who is expecting her second baby VERY soon (this baby quilt was a "Stash Pot Pie" pattern, called "Humble Pie")..... .....and a bag for the mummy-to-be so that she has something nice for herself (I'm sure the new baby will get LOTS of presents)..... .....we all had a great time tonight at Gemma's baby shower, which was held at All Fired Up - lots of great food and great company!!

I've been busy making some more of these makeup bags, using my own pattern. This one was made with small squares of fabric that were left over from a Jelly-Roll project, and a spare jelly roll strip was used for the binding..... .....and these little box-bags are just SO simple to make!! This one was made with some lilac batiks - Heather, we can do some more of these when you come over - and maybe you can test out my patterns too!! I was teaching on Saturday at Quilters Haven, when I spied this pretty tin. It's by Moda, and showcases the fab new range of fabric by 3 Sisters, called Oasis, and it is just the sort of tin that I can keep all sorts of sewing paraphernalia in..... .....and just look what's hiding inside!! A pattern to make a beautiful hexagon quilt, and all the fabric needed, including 2x Oasis Layer Cakes, an Oasis Charm Pack and a set of mini-hexagon templates how divine is this!! Oh and hi Mara - one of my blogging friends called into the shop to say hello - it was great to meet you at long last :) Happy Mother's Day!! Here's a picture of MY mum - with her four girls - my three sisters Becky, (who organised my FAB-U-LOUS blog and website for me!!), Rachel, and Lisa - who makes the most incredible crafty creations - I've blogged about her before, and some of her goodies are for sale here and last of all yours truely..... .....and here are my own two lovely daughters..... .....I've had a lovely day, and have been thoroughly spoilt - brunch cooked by Mr F, pressies from my girls, and this evening with Lewis on TV and a bottle of wine :) Would you believe it - 23 years ago today, I was a blushing bride - goodness don't I look young!!! .....it was a beautiful spring day, and the sun was shining - just like the weather today..... .....lots of cards from family and friends - and a bouquet from Mr F!!!..... .....we have been out for a meal tonight to celebrate - the "Wilford Bridge" pub at Melton - the girls came too, and it was really nice to be out together as a family :) |
