Well I really have been as busy as a bee recently! Anyway, I just had to show you what the postman delivered at the weekend - this delightful "Bee" necklace from the incredibly talented Amanda Davie, crafted from beautiful black and yellow Czech glass beads, and lovely charm accents. This will go perfectly with my "Nectar" earrings that I bought a couple of years ago. |

Well as I've been such a good girl and using up the fabrics in my stash rather than buying any new ones, I've saved my pennies and been shopping over at my favourite Etsy shop instead! These earrings are all designed by Amanda Davie. Firstly there's "Beautiful Dreamer" made with turquoise beads and dream charms, then there's "Sweetheart Two" which is a classic combination of colours and sweet charms! These feature antique brass finished bird charms, glass pearls, and beautiful red magnesite hearts. Imagine wearing them with your favourite polka dot dress to add a little sass! Last of all "Back Roads" earrings. Pretty robin's egg blue art glass beads are the focal for these lovely danglers. These also have lovely aged brass leaves.
Do you believe in the magic of Christmas?? I certainly do - and when I saw this beautiful "Believe" locket designed by Amanda Davie I knew it would make Christmas perfect for me! These heirloom quality necklaces feature words taken directly out of vintage dictionary pages. Each piece is carefully preserved under a crystal clear glass cabochon. The necklace measures 22" in length and features a charm and lovely gemstone accent. If this locket arrives in time to find it's way into my Christmas stocking that will be great, otherwise it'll be a little treat in the New Year - it's always so nice to have something to look forward to!!
Another little gift for me from Amanda Davie's Etsy shop are these "Take Flight" earrings, made with vegan glass pearls - and with lovely aged brass feather charms, and her own handmade "light and love" charms these all come together to create this one of a kind earrings. These earrings measure about 3" long and hang from antique brass lever back ear wires. Santa must think I'm a very naughty girl to buy these beautiful goodies for my own stocking!!
Well I'm not sure if Santa knows what a good girl I've been this year - so I've had a little peek at Amanda Davie's Etsy shop and bought myself a gift or two - or three! Firstly "Dusk" - these agate druzy earrings begged to be bought! I'm in love with these agate druzy beads...and they pair beautifully with the dusty purple of the sari silk, and lovely green of the fluorite beads. Amanda has wire wrapped the kidney wires with tiny bronze Czech glass, and paired them with this stunning combo of sparkle and fiber! Tiny leaf charms add to the wonderful combination! Ohhh hurry down my chimney Santa! xx
I've been shopping again - only this time it's not for me, but for my daughter! She's already got a couple of pieces of jewelry by the very talented Amanda Davie, and I was browsing her etsy shop when I saw these beautiful brass dragonfly earrings, adorned with faceted Wasabi Czech glass, and also this gorgeous pair in a stunning colour combination with pale pink carved gemstone beads and hand-embellished butterfly charms. They're going into someone's stocking on Christmas Eve - I hope she'll be a happy girl when she unwraps them! In order to speed up my recovery, I thought a little bit of internet retail therapy was needed - and as I'd already treated myself to some GORGEOUS Lecien fabrics last week from Sew and So's at Bungay, this week I'm having a little treat from my favourite jewellery designer, Amanda Davie. What do you think of these Patina Stack earrings? This awesome stack of embellished metals has been enhanced with a bit of Jasper. Amanda has wire wrapped the ear wires and added a bit of turquoise for a unique look. I've requested lever backs on these too, as I think they are a bit more secure, and I'd HATE one of these little babies to get lost!! Ohhh PLEASE hurry up Mr Postman!!
Oh I know - more retail therapy - how very naughty!! But who could resist these Sedona earrings by Amanda Davie? Sweet brass accents show of the lovely stack of tiny turquoise heishi beads. Amanda has sandwiched a tiny black Czech glass bead between the turquoise for an interesting textural element. I prefer lever backs on earrings as they feel much more secure, and Amanda replaces these on request for no extra charge. What super service is that! Oh now won't these look lovely when they're dangling from my ear lobes - now hurry up Mr Postman hehe!! ;)
One of the nicest things about sitting in the garden on a nice summer's evening is watching the dragonflies skimming over our garden pond. Dragonflies are the inspiration for this beautiful wrap style necklace or bracelet, which boasts a variety of lovely handmade components and stunning beads. Cotton fiber, glass pearls, a stamped "believe" connector, recycled glass, and a wonderful Czech glass dragonfly pendant make up the length of this 24.5" piece. This will DEFINITELY cheer up after the recent trauma of having my planned surgery cancelled at the last minute, and will stop me from getting niggly!! Especially as Amanda Davie has a MASSIVE sale on at her Etsy shop, so it'll stop Mr F getting niggly too when he sees the postman popping round again hehe!!
I was feeling a little bit niggly, so to cheer myself up I headed over to Etsy for a little more online shopping from Amanda Davie - she is my favourite jewellery designer! This time beautiful white turquoise magnesite nuggets combine with a wonderful wooden heart bead, and a lovely religious medallion for this one of a kind necklace. The beads are connected "rosary" style for a beautiful feel. This piece bears her signature tag. Please hurry Mr Postman!!
